Things have slowed a bit more than we’d like but nevertheless, good progress has been made.
When Geoff, the designer asked what sort of roof we’d like, we pointed out that we needed at least a part of it to be a reminder of the original house that stood there for 54 years. Of course as we can see from the plans, he fitted our wishes into the design.
Now that the roof timbers have been assembled, The old roof line is strikingly eveident and we are nothing short of delighted.
When we walk around the back and look up very high, we see the gable of the upstairs balcony. This nicely matches the gable roof of the Alfresco area below it.
