Another good week. We had visits from the tiler, the plumber and the carpenters.
First, Rob the tiler. He has made great inroads into the tiling of the upstairs wet areas and the preparation of floors downstairs. Whilst it is not apparent in the pictures, when you get really close up and see the techniques he used and the care he has taken, you realise that this man is a true craftsman. Wonderful work Rob and thank you. We are looking forward to your return when the new lot of tiles arrive.
Brad, the plumber, with his able apprentice, came and took care of some drainage issues downstairs, which will enable Rob, the tiler to get his work done there. They also looked at the sewer piping and they will return to extend that down to the septic and drainage system which they put in the ground in late June, last year.
It was great to have the carpenters back on site. They put some auxiliary joists into the decking area, in readiness for the Enduradeck boards, which we hope, will arrive soon. They also completed the wall, adjoining the main house, in the alfresco area. The cavity slider doors are all in place downstairs, as are some of the door frames. The front and rear door frames and the cavity sliders door frames are all nicely trimmed with their architraves.
What’s next? Well, the carpenters will return and the electricians will be here next week. Steve, our builder, is also working on coordinating the plasterer to render the front brickwork and the grano man, to do the garage floor and driveway.
Seeya then.
