Well, the plumber came back this week and installed the bath. Maryanne and grandkids will be pleased. Speaking of which, Our son, Russell and his lovely lady, Angeline, have announced that they are expecting our 4th grandchild. We should have built a bigger house.
As well as the bath, Brad and apprentice, dug lots of holes and trenches and hooked all of the rain water downpipes, to the four huge stormwater soak wells, that featured in one of our earliest posts, last year. The drainage network is being well tested as we are still very much in winter weather, even though it is the beginning of October.
Next is the decking. The good news is, that it has been completed. Corey and Jarrad finished it off last week. We can now walk on all the verandahs and decked areas. Well, we could before as well but it was highly risky.
What’s next? Well, we’re pretty excited to see that the vinyl floor coverings have been laid in all the rooms in the downstairs house, except the kitchen, dining, family area. That room will be getting sollid Marri flooring. We just visited the local timber mill and confirmed our order.
Anyway, the vinyl is the same product that we have upstairs, only a different colour.
That is largely it for now. Jobs booked for next week include the Gyprock cladding on the internal walls of the alfresco area. The final bits of flashing, guttering and roof vents. A bit more painting. Installation of all shelving in the robes and pantries. Installation of skirting boards. A bit more electrical work. So, if it all comes off as planned, it will be a very productive time.
What a luxurious bath!
